Role Overview

The Analyst, Finance - Cost Accounting will be responsible for supporting day to day activities, financial reporting, financial forecasting, variance analysis and other tasks within Finance. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to support and work with the internal customers and external vendors. The successful individual will demonstrate their multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills, showing flexibility and versatility to embrace change. Motivation and innovation are encouraged to improve existing processes and learn new systems to provide visibility meeting the key performance indicators and conveying the department's overall targets.
 

Position Summary

  • Calculate annual and ad hoc service part and production part pricing
  • Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation and analysis
  • Preparation of SAP for new model launch
  • Monthly and quarterly calculation and reporting of Royalty due to Toyota Motor Corporation
  • Monthly analysis of Bill of Material changes
  • Lead company-wide physical inventory count
  • Ensure all policies within cost accounting are followed; SOX Business level controls are followed
  • Timely reconciliation review and approval with no reconciliation items
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are accurate to reflect TMMC financial position
  • Forecast preparation and analysis, and other mandatory tasks within the Finance department
  • Financial statement analysis and explanations
  • Resolve vehicle pricing discrepancies and missing pricing issues
 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Business, Accounting or other related education or experience is required
  • Holds or working towards an accounting designation (CPA) is an asset
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of working experience in an accounting related area, preferably within a manufacturing environment is required
  • Advanced working experience in Excel is required with some SAP knowledge
  • Ability to analyze complex data and evaluate results for high-level reasonability
  • Demonstrated project management skills and taking responsibility for actions taken
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and to achieve tight deadlines while maintaining a high-quality standard
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present results to Senior Manager and General Manager level
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements as needed
  • Possible travel to U.S.A (once/year)
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations; travel between TMMC plants will be required
