Human Resources Administrative Assistant – Contract position ending June 17, 2022

 

Role Overview

As a Human Resources Administrative Assistant at TMMC, you will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and the Executive Team (Officers, Finance GM, HR GM). You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our administration department.

 

What you’ll be doing

Executive Support (Officers, Finance General Manager, Human Resources General Manager and Human Resources department)

  • Support calendar and expense management
  • Assist with travel bookings and support visitor coordination
  • Manage office requirements (purchase orders, office supplies, etc.)
  • Support meetings (scheduling and taking minutes)
  • Develop reports and presentation material for the Human Resources Management Team, Senior Management and Vice President
  • Provide administrative support for projects (gather and input date for budgets)
  • Assist in developing business proposals, general correspondence and emails on behalf of Management

 

Policy Development & Performance Management (PDPM) Support

  • Provide project support for the Human Resource Case Management (HRCM) project, including testing and identifying kaizens for the project team
  • Support all changes through Standardized Work and training
  • Provide support with Performance Management using the HRCM (review, process, scan, file, checks and reporting)
  • Complete quarterly report cards for investigations and performance management
  • Coordinate legal filling, offsite and onsite storage
  • Manage office requirements (purchase orders, office supplies, etc.)

 

Employment Standards Leave (ESA) Leave Administration

  • Process ESA leave requests as per legislation and TMMC process
  • Identify and implement kaizens to the process
  • Accurately track to create a quarterly report card

 

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent degree/diploma is required
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related work experience required
  • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SAP would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements as needed
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock
