As a Supply Chain Management Analyst, Packaging at TMMC, you will have the opportunity to support both New Model Launch and Daily Operational management activities.  Utilizing your strong project management skill set and technical knowledge, you will support the design, coordination and procurement of New Model packaging in alignment to TMMC’s Gated Management process, timelines and Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s).  Applying your strong communication, problem solving and root cause analysis skill set, you will address Daily Operational abnormalities through issue identification, solution recommendation and countermeasure implementation.  In this role, you will also support project assignments that focus on continuous improvements and advancing data analytics to improve Toyota’s business condition.

 

What you’ll be doing

Support New Model launch activities through:

  • Analysis and benchmarking of “Best Practice” returnable packaging across the Toyota supply chain network
  • Coordination of packaging proposals, concepts, prototypes and procurement through cross-functional facilitation with internal quality and manufacturing groups, as well as, external fabricators and suppliers
  • Lead packaging review meetings with all stakeholders to gain consensus and approval
  • Database management, continuous improvement (kaizen) and condition tracking
  • Strict adherence to critical project timelines, KPI’s and status reporting
  • Support Daily Operational management through:
    • Returnable packaging calculation analysis, order adjustments and procurement
    • Supplier shortage investigations, root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation
    • Vendor repair program management, root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation
    • Packaging change / Engineering Change Instruction (ECI) implementation coordination
    • Enforcement of TMMC’s packaging standards across supply base
    • Daily / Weekly status reporting
  • Monitor abnormality conditions and lead investigations by applying Toyota Business Practice (TBP) fundamentals to identify root cause with timely and informed escalation towards short-term and sustained solutions
  • Manage assigned projects towards plan execution, key milestone delivery and status reporting
  • Strict adherence of budget plans through detailed tracking and controls
  • Promote safety, continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives


Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Supply Chain or other equivalent degree is required
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exposure to Power BI would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and evaluate results; proven aptitude for working with numbers
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex issues and work towards implementing sustainable solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret parts drawing and exposure to CAD/CATIA Software would be an asset
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements as needed
  • Possible travel within North America as well as Overseas (less than 5% per year)
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations
