Workforce Planning PowerBI Data Analytics Analyst (Contract position ending February 3, 2023)

 

Role Overview

As a Workforce Planning (WFP) PowerBI Data Analytics Analyst at TMMC, you will be part of a dynamic and multi-faceted team within the HR department. You will compile & analyze large data volumes, analyze complex logic, ensure data integrity and provide services to many stakeholders across the HR department. You will be responsible for maintaining labour analysis reporting on past and future projected staffing conditions – attendance, attrition, vacation, other non-worked time. You will use data to draw conclusions and recommendations, working with the team to develop staffing strategies that support business objectives gaining exposure to the complex and valuable role of HR within the organization.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • WFP PowerBI Data Analytics Analyst, JL15 · Maintain existing reports, regularly reviewing and auditing data output to ensure accuracy and integrity of results
  • Solve problems as they arise in existing systems to meet functional requirements
  • Control report access with data governance standards · Identify risks and create error proofing built-in checks to prevent flow-out of errors and maintain system security and data integrity
  • Train users and stakeholders how to use and interpret reports and data
  • Collaborate with other HR internal stakeholders to gather development criteria which you will then use to create sustainable and scalable reports for all management, Group Leaders and management levels up (750 users)
  • Utilize large volumes of data from various systems (Workday, Kronos, Attendance Management System, Training database, Safety tracking software, etc.) for data processing/transforming in Power BI to create sustainable and scalable reports for WFP and shop management to understand staffing and attendance conditions and make informed decisions
  • Orchestrate the collection of large volumes of data from various systems to support all human resources (HR) functions, company-wide key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, and diversity & inclusion (D&I) initiatives

 

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Math, Computer Science, Economics, Business/Operations Management, Human Resources, or related field is required
  • HRP designation would be an asset
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience is required
  • Strong data analytics, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Exposure to development, design & creation of PowerBI reports
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
  • Experience in computer science or coding
  • Aptitude for working with numbers
  • Demonstrated understanding of forecasting methods and applications
  • Demonstrated understanding of visual representation of data
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements as needed
  • Possible travel within North America as well as Overseas (less than 5% per year)
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations
