What you’ll be doing

  • Support TMMC Health & Safety Shops to administer functional Toyota Way in Safety
  • Principles with a primary focus in training and communication to ensure full Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle is applied to supporting:
  • Process Safety systems audits
  • Accident/Incident investigations and CM tracking for completion
  • Safety Standards adherence, development, training and communication
  • Ensure the implementation of safety systems
  • Provide concise reporting of activities and deliver presentations as required

 

Desired Education

  • Post-Secondary Education (University Degree preferred) or training in Safety, or related field.
  • Ergonomics experience would be an asset
  • CRSP designation (or capability and willingness to obtain) an asset

 

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Strong leadership and technical skills required to support safe process and equipment
  • Strong accident investigation, risk assessment analysis, and problem solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of current Safety Legislation is an asset
  • Experience in OHSAS 18001 and safety culture change is desired
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Possess advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Minimum 2 years Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Available for business travel as required
  • Able to support overtime and weekend work when required 
  • Must be legally eligible to enter the USA
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock
  • Flexible to support rotating shifts (bi-weekly)
