POSITION SUMMARY

As a Systems Specialist supporting Production Control Packaging, you will work with a cross-functional group and apply problem solving and root cause analysis techniques to address daily supply chain operation concerns. Your main responsibility will be enhancing the department’s efficiency, using VBA, Access, Excel or other programming techniques, through continuous improvement of data collections and analysis of KPIs, and the development of new processes and systems to support current and future needs of the department.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Business, Math or Engineering
  • Experience with databases (Access preferred)
  • Willingness to learn and apply Toyota Production System (TPS) principles.
  • Ability to apply analytics to a supply chain environment, quantitative aptitude
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, including VBA programming, and an aptitude to learn new systems are essential
  • Experience in system development
  • MS Project, Visio and SAP experience are assets
  • Project management, must be self-directed and have strong organizational skills
  • Fiscal responsibility: reduce current and future costs within a significant annual budget
  • Problem Solver: Ability to interpret complex issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills (work with many stakeholders)
  • Primary location is the Cambridge Plant with work at Woodstock on an as-needed basis



Key Responsibilities:

  • Use Access, Excel, VBA and other programming techniques to improve existing processes and systems
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to develop systems to manage inventory, analyze data and create reports
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline operational activities
  • Develop a strong understanding of Supply Chain, Packaging and Logistics operations
  • Create and manage daily and/or project based schedules and report on status regularly
  • Daily problem solving and investigation of supply chain issues
  • Track and monitor KPIs
  • Travel and Overtime: must be legally eligible to enter the USA and willing to work overtime as required
