Role Overview

As a Communications Analyst at TMMC, you will support the internal communications program, help to deliver practices and resources that transform internal communications, foster Team Member awareness and engagement as well as passion about TMMC's brand, achieved through engaging and timely messaging, and deliver key strategies to guide the company, including ownership of the annual internal communications plan.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and communicate TMMC vision and performance
  • Lead projects and develop communications strategies for internal communications (Executive communications, team member meetings, presentations, information packages and videos)
  • Support development and delivery of resources, systems and protocols to ensure internal communications are handled in a consistent, disciplined and strategic manner
  • Promote and contribute to clear, concise, and transparent internal communications
  • Ensure that employees understand TMMC’s goals, targets, industry trends, and are informed about daily issues that affect performance in the organization
  • Provide communication expertise in event of a crisis
  • Gather and implement continuous improvement programs based on feedback from team members
  • Administer content management systems, plan and guide events and large-scale meetings, and achieve results with support of and through suppliers, partners, contractors, and vendors

 

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Public Relations or equivalent degree/certificate 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in analyzing and communicating complex situations in a large organization with communications to all team members and targeted to specific groups of team members 
  • Passion for internal communications, strategic development, relationship building and the ability to gain consensus with all parties concerned 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills sufficient to manage multiple priorities, sometimes in dynamic and time-pressured situations
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Web Design as well as social media and other communications resources
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems is an asset
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements as needed
  • Possible travel within North America as well as Overseas (less than 10% per year)
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge (based in Cambridge location) and Woodstock plant locations
