Competitive hourly rate of $53.80/hour with a shift premium of $5.38 (Nights), and paid overtime and annual bonus.

Role Overview
As an Operating Engineer, you'll be part of our Skilled Trades group, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of power plant systems that deliver high-pressure steam, chilled water, and compressed air to support production. You'll troubleshoot, maintain and improve critical systems while contributing to a culture of reliability, safety and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing

Operate and maintain power plant equipment including gas turbine generators, heat recovery steam generators, steam boilers, hot water boilers, steam and electric chillers, compressors, water and wastewater plants and auxiliary equipment.

Work in accordance with Technical Standard and Safety Authority Operating Engineer/Boiler and Pressure Vessel Regulations 219-01, 220/01.

Perform preventative maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted service to the plant.

Develop or assist in the development of operational, safety, and maintenance procedures.

Analyze problems and take action to ensure continuous, reliable operations of systems.

Safely isolate/Lock Out -Tag Out equipment for inspection and repair.

Maintain daily logs of operations, safety activities, water test results, instrument readings and maintenance details.

Monitor key performance indicators and escalate abnormalities.

Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, uptime, reliability and energy conservation.
What you'll bring
-
2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate of Qualification preferred; 3rd class with progress towards 2nd class considered.

Minimum 5 years of power plant experience operating and maintaining gas turbines generators, boilers, chillers, compressors, water/wastewater plants, and auxiliary systems.

Working knowledge of TSSA Operating Engineer/Boiler & Pressure Vessel Regulations 219-01, 220/01.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong multitasking ability with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and support daily/weekend overtime as needed.

Flexible to work at either our Cambridge or Woodstock locations
