Role Overview
As a Senior Engineering Analyst – Press, you’ll lead critical capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact safety, quality, and throughput. Working hands-on in a high-volume manufacturing environment, you’ll manage equipment upgrades, troubleshoot technical issues on the floor, and drive cross-functional solutions from concept to execution.
What you'll be doing

Manage and lead capital equipment projects from scope to buy-off (e.g., gear replacements, controls upgrades)

Act as primary point of contact for equipment installation and refurbishment projects

Lead and coach Engineering Analysts, hourly employees, contractors, and co-op students during projects

Troubleshoot and resolve high-frequency technical issues on the production floor (“close-offs”)

Support planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting efforts across multiple complex initiatives

Drive cross-functional coordination during safety investigations, quality issue resolution, and Takt/Model changes
-
Evaluate and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Instructions (ECIs)

Support shutdown and weekend work schedules, including oversight of third-party vendors
-
Lead Kaizen events and TPS-based process improvement initiatives to reduce cost and improve throughput
-
Ensure systems comply with safety regulations and TMMC technical standards
What you'll bring
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
-
3+ years of practical engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
-
Proven experience leading capital equipment installation and large-scale projects
-
Hands-on leadership skills and ability to influence without authority across functions
-
In-depth knowledge of Press shop operations is preferred
-
Strong understanding of equipment design, functionality, and safeguarding
-
Excellent communicator and project manager who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
-
Experience with PLC/SCADA systems (e.g., ControlLogix, Mitsubishi Q, Proface, AVEVA)
-
Familiarity with data acquisition and reporting tools like Power BI is an asset
-
Willing to support overtime needs, weekend work, and occasional travel to the U.S. and Japan
-
Flexible to work in either Cambridge or Woodstock locations
